Dish/Prep Cook – AM Shift

Location: Edwards, Colorado 81632

Work Arrangement: On-Site

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday–Sunday (weekend availability required)

Reports To: Executive Chef

About This Opportunity

All Points North (APN) is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dish/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team at our Edwards location. In this role, you'll be an essential part of our kitchen operations, supporting our culinary team in preparing nutritious, high-quality meals while maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized kitchen environment.

What You'll Do Prep Cook Responsibilities

• Prepare food items as directed by the Sous Chef and Executive Chef, following established recipes and portion guidelines with precision
• Assist in preparing menu items with meticulous attention to both design and taste quality
• Maintain clean, organized prep stations and comply with all food safety and sanitation standards
• Prepare food according to Health Department guidelines and accommodate dietary requirements
• Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment to ensure optimal working order
• Contribute creative ideas and suggestions to improve kitchen performance and efficiency
• Address challenges proactively and take ownership of kitchen issues as they arise

Dishwashing & Kitchen Sanitation Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and maintain all pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment following established procedures
• Load and unload the commercial dishwasher efficiently and accurately
• Keep kitchen and dishwashing areas clean, dry, and well-organized at all times
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors and walls according to standard sanitation procedures
• Collect, sort, and properly dispose of trash and recyclables from all kitchen areas
• Monitor chemical levels and maintain sanitation supply inventory
• Remove broken or chipped items from circulation and update inventory records
• Ensure all workstations are cleaned, sanitized, and properly closed at shift end
• Adhere strictly to all sanitation guidelines and food safety protocols

General Responsibilities

• Support the culinary team in delivering nutritious meals across three meal periods and snacks
• Communicate professionally with team members and supervisors
• Follow all established procedures, safety guidelines, and APN policies
• Participate in team meetings and shift handoffs
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support kitchen operations and APN goals

What You'll Bring Required Qualifications

• Ability to communicate respectfully and work effectively as part of a collaborative team
• Ability to follow instructions, policies, safety procedures, and established workflows
• Dependable attendance and the ability to work the required schedule, including weekends
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Familiarity with food safety and sanitation best practices
• Basic knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen procedures
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of culinary experience in a high-end or professional kitchen setting
• Culinary degree or professional certification
• Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-service kitchen environment
• ServSafe or other food safety certification
• Experience with commercial kitchen equipment and dishwashing systems
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
